An average annual temperature of 19.8°C, more than 300 frost-free days, around 1,135 hours of yearly sunshine and naturally selenium-rich soil give the fruit its signature crispness and clean sweetness.
Variety
Crispy Honey Kumquat is the third-generation result of Rong’an’s kumquat breeding, following the traditional oil-skin and smooth-skin types. It carries no seeds and no oil glands, so there is no bitter, tingling bite in the peel and nothing to spit out. A touch of green on the peel in season is a natural sign of freshness, not immaturity.
Quality
Seedless · Oil-gland-free · Crisp · Juicy. The flesh is dense and fine-textured, refreshingly sweet and suitable for eating whole. Harvest starts at color break from mid-November, with flavor peaking from early to late December as the peel turns from green-yellow to orange-red.
Orchard
Selected groves in Rong’an follow field controls for maturity, sweetness and fruit-surface quality. Fruit is picked in the early morning and hand-graded the same day for size, color and skin condition, with soft or damaged fruit removed before packing.
Supply
Single-origin, in-season supply direct from Rong’an growers. Available from mid-November through February, with graded sizes and cold-chain shipping. Volumes are confirmed according to the current season and market timing.
